Hizb 46
< random >
And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Hath He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is the matter with you, how is it that you judge? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or is there for you a plain authority? 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 Cannot lead astray [turn away from Him (Allah) anyone of the believers], 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 Even though they (unbelievers) say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would have been the chosen servants of Allah." 169 But (now that the Quran has come) they disbelieve therein (i.e. in the Quran and in Prophet Muhammad SAW, and all that which he brought, the Divine Revelation), so they will come to know! 170 Our Word had already preceded Our worshipers, the Messengers, 171 That they would certainly be assisted, 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Exalted be your Lord, the Lord of Glory, above what they attribute to Him, 180 Peace be on the Messengers. 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
