He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 that the blind man came to him. 2 for how can you know that he might seek to purify himself, 3 Or that he may accept advice, so the advice may benefit him. 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 Unto him thou payest regard. 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 And is also fearful (of God), 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Assuredly this is a reminder 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 On honoured leaves 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Woe to man! How ungrateful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then He caused him to die and brought him to the grave, 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it): 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 And cause the grain to grow therein 27 And grapes and herbage 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruits and herbage 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry shall be sounded 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 his wife and his sons: 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 enveloped by darkness. 41 It is they, the disbelievers, the sinners. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
