Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 until you visit the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Then no! You are going to know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 you would indeed, most surely, behold the blazing fire [of hell]! 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
