1/2 Hizb 45

۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 What is the matter with you that you do not help each other? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And some of them will confront the others, 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will reply: "Nay, ye yourselves had no Faith! 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 Thus, the words of Our Lord about us have come true and now we are suffering the torment. 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride, 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the apostles. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 and will be recompensed only for what you deserve. 39 But the sincere servants of God 40 for them awaits a known provision, 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 In Gardens of Felicity, 43 sitting face to face upon couches, 44 Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 (Pure) as they were hidden eggs (of the ostrich). 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 "Who used to say, 'what! art thou amongst those who bear witness to the Truth (of the Message)? 52 (Do you think) we would be paid back our due when we are dead and reduced to dust and bones?' 53 And he will reply: 'Are you looking down (into Hell)' 54 Then he will look downwards, and will see him in the depths of Hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 If it had not been for the blessing of my Lord, I would also have been taken to Hell." 57 Then, are we not to die 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 This is certainly the greatest triumph 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is this better or the tree of Zaqqum 62 Lo! We have appointed it a torment for wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 And once again: Verily, the blazing fire is their ultimate goal 68 Indeed they found their fathers astray. 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And indeed before them, most of the former people went astray. 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 Then see what was the end of those who were admonished (but heeded not),- 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
