The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and moon revolve to a computation; 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 That you may not be inordinate in respect of the measure. 8 So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
