The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 [And] they add, "That, then, would be a return with loss!" 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 when his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa, 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). 19 And he showed him the tremendous token. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned back striving. 22 and gathered his people together 23 And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest." 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
