He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 To him dost thou attend; 6 And you have nothing to lose if he does not become pure. 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and fears (Allah), 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 in [the light of His] revelations blest with dignity, 13 exalted and purified, 14 (Set down) by scribes 15 Noble and pious. 16 Cursed be man! how ungrateful is he! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him. 21 Then when He listeth, He shall raise him to life. 22 No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 We poured down rain abundantly, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 32 So when the deafening Shout arrives, 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 mother, father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 Every man that day will have concern enough to make him heedless (of others). 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 and covered by darkness. 41 Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers). 42
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
