Allah forgiveth not (The sin of) joining other gods with Him; but He forgiveth whom He pleaseth other sins than this: one who joins other gods with Allah, Hath strayed far, far away (from the right). 116 Rather than call upon Him, they call upon goddesses, and call upon a rebellious Satan 117 whom God has rejected for having said, "Verily, of Thy servants I shall most certainly take my due share, 118 And surely I will lead them astray, and surely I will arouse desires in them, and surely I will command them and they will cut the cattle' ears, and surely I will command them and they will change Allah's creation. Whoso chooseth Satan for a patron instead of Allah is verily a loser and his loss is manifest. 119 The devil promises them and arouses desires in them; and the devil does not give them promises except of deceit. 120 Those, their shelter will be Gehenna (Hell), and from it they shall find no refuge. 121 But as for those who believe and do good works We shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide for ever. It is a promise from Allah in truth; and who can be more truthful than Allah in utterance? 122 It may not accord with your wishful thinking - nor with the wishful thinking of the followers of earlier revelation - [that] he who does evil shall be requited for it, and shall find none to protect him from God, and none to bring him succour, 123 But he who performs good deeds, whether man or a woman, and is a believer, will surely enter Paradise, and none shall be deprived even of an iota of his reward. 124 Who is better in religion than he who surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good (to men) and followeth the tradition of Abraham, the upright? Allah (Himself) chose Abraham for friend. 125 And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allah, of all things, encompassing. 126
