The Key (Al-Faatehah)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the entire universe. 2 The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful 3 The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) 4 Thee only we serve; to Thee alone we pray for succour. 5 Guide us on the Straight Path. 6 The path of those whom You have favoured – Not the path of those who earned Your anger – nor of those who are astray. 7

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
