1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 besides God, and lead them to the path of the Fire; 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 In fact this day they have all surrendered. 26 And they will turn to one another, and question one another. 27 saying: 'You used to come to us from the right hand' 28 They will say: nay! ye yourselves were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people. 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So they shall on that day be sharers in the chastisement one with another. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And said: "Should we abandon our gods for the sake of an insane poet?" 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 you shall surely taste the painful punishment, 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 Except the chosen creatures of God, 40 will have their determined sustenance 41 fruits -- and they high-honoured 42 In Gardens of peace. 43 On couches facing one another; 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 no headiness will be in it, and they will not get drunk thereon. 47 And with them will be mates of modest gaze, most beautiful of eye, 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 Then they will turn to one another and question one another. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who used to say: 'Are you one of those who can testify to the truth? 52 "(That) when we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed (be raised up) to receive reward or punishment (according to our deeds)?" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he looks, and sees him in the midst of Hell. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 But for the Favor of Allah I should have surely been among those who were arraigned (with you in Hell). 57 Are we not then to die 58 except for our first death? And shall we suffer no chastisement?'” 59 Surely this is the supreme triumph. 60 For such a reward should the workers perform. 61 Is that (Paradise) better entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum (a horrible tree in Hell)? 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of Shayatin (devils); 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 Then they will have on top of it a mixture of boiling water. 67 Then to Hell they will surely be returned. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 So they in their footsteps are rushing. 70 Before them erred most of the ancients, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 See then the end of those who were warned, 73 Save the bondmen of Allah sincere. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
