1/2 Hizb 46

And remember Our bondman Ayyub (Job); when he cried out* to his Lord, “The devil has struck me with hardship and pain.” (After seven years of patience.) 41 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 42 And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 Remember Our votaries Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of power and insight. 45 We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter). 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They shall say: Our Lord! whoever prepared it first for us, add Thou to him a double chastisement in the fire. 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
