Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 It will be the Day when they are tormented at the Fire. 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 They shall receive what their Lord will bestow on them. They have done good works in the past, 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the morning they asked forgiveness. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
