▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Yes, never! By oath of the moon. 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "what led you into hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No, indeed, surely, this is a Reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
