No, by the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 By the dawn when it lightens! 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning for people -- 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
