Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 and the severally severing 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
