And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We sent them Our Signs, but they persisted in turning away from them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have given you the seven dual (verses, Al Fatihah) and the Mighty Holy Reading (Koran). 87 Stretch not thine eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy; and do not sorrow for them, and lower thy wing unto the believers, 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Like as We sent down on the dividers 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 So, by your Lord (O Muhammad SAW), We shall certainly call all of them to account. 92 about whatever they had been doing! 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 verily, We shall suffice thee against all who [now] deride [this message - all] 95 Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know. 96 Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say, 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain. 99
