We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
