The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And those who undo the bonds gently, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 and gathered his people together 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
