Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not one possessed: 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
