Al-A 'araaf 8 of 24
Indeed We sent forth Noah to his people and he said: 'O my people! Serve Allah, you have no other god than Him Indeed I fear for you the chastisement of an awesome Day.' 59 Said the Council of his people, 'We see thee in manifest error.' 60 He said: O my people! There is no error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds. 61 I am conveying my Lord's messages to you and giving you sincere advice. I know things from God that you do not. 62 "Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord, through a man of your own people, to warn you,- so that ye may fear Allah and haply receive His Mercy?" 63 But they called him a liar, and We saved him and those with him in the Ark, and drowned the others who rejected Our signs, for they were a people purblind. 64
