Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 As We fashioned jinns before from intense radiated heat. 27 And when thy Lord said to the angels, 'See, I am creating a mortal of a clay of mud moulded. 28 And when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 29 All the angels prostrated before Adam 30 Except Iblis. He refused to bow with the adorers. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 (Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! 34 and there shall be a curse upon you till the Day of Recompense." 35 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected." 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- 39 Except the chosen ones among Your creatures." 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 No power shall you have over (all) My creatures except those who fall into error and follow you, 42 "And surely, Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
