People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our communications, but they turned aside from them; 81 They hewed their dwellings out of the mountains in safety. 82 and so the blast [of Our punishment] overtook them at early morn, 83 Out of what they had gained, nothing proved to be of any benefit to them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Even as We sent down on the dividers 90 and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 About their deeds. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
