Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 And (the clouds) that bear heavy weight of water; 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised (i.e. Resurrection in the Hereafter and receiving the reward or punishment of good or bad deeds, etc.) is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 'When will the Day of Judgement be' they ask. 12 It will be the Day when they shall be scourged by the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, 15 receiving what their Lord will give them because before this they were gooddoers. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and in your selves; what, do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision, and that which you are promised. 22 By the Lord of the heaven and the earth it is sure, even as it is a fact that ye are speaking. 23
