No, by the moon! 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "But we used to talk vanities with vain talkers; 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But they will not remember except as God wills: He is worthy to be feared, and He is worthy of forgiving 56
