The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what shall teach thee what is the night-star? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 He was created from spurting fluid, 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed the Qur'an is a decisive Word. 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
