The people of Thamud rejected Our warnings. 23 So they said: What! a single mortal from among us! Shall we follow him? Most surely we shall in that case be in sure error and distress: 24 Was there none but he to whom the Reminder could be vouchsafed excluding all others? Nay; he is an insolent liar.” 25 'They shall surely know tomorrow who is the impudent liar. 26 for We are [going to] send the she-camel as a trial for them, so watch them and be patient. 27 And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Every drinking will be witnessed. 28 But they called their companion, so he took (the sword) and slew (her). 29 Ah! how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning! 30 Then We sent a single blast against them and they became like dry stubble which has been trampled upon. 31 Easy have We made the Qur'an to understand: So is there any one who will be warned? 32 Lot's people also gave the lie to the warnings, 33 We let loose on all of them a squall of claystones, except for the house of Lot whom We saved at dawn 34 as a blessing from Us: thus do We reward all who are grateful. 35 For he had truly warned them of Our punishing might; but they stubbornly cast doubt on these warnings, 36 They even solicited of him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes: 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 37 And verily, an abiding torment seized them early in the morning. 38 "Then taste you My Torment and My Warnings." 39 We have made it easy indeed to learn lessons from the Quran. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
