The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they were sitting near it 6 fully conscious of what they are doing to the believers, 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
