In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Allah has caused the works of those who disbelieve and hinder people from the way of Allah to go to waste. 1 And those who believe and work righteous works and believe in that which hath been revealed unto Muhammad - and it is the truth from their Lord - He shall expiate their misdeeds from them and shall make good their state. 2 That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allah set forth their parables for mankind. 3 If you encounter the disbelievers in a battle, strike-off their heads. Take them as captives when they are defeated. Then you may set them free as a favor to them, with or without a ransom, when the battle is over. This is the Law. Had God wanted, He could have granted them (unbelievers) victory, but He wants to test you through each other. The deeds of those who are killed for the cause of God will never be without virtuous results. 4 He will guide them and improve their state, 5 He will admit them into the Garden He has already made known to them. 6 O ye who believe! If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly. 7 The fate of the disbelievers will be to stumble and their deeds will have no virtuous results; 8 That was because they were averse to what Allah had revealed; so He let their works go to waste. 9 ۞ Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who had gone before them? Allah destroyed them! Likewise it is for the unbelievers, 10 That is because God is the protector of the believers, and those who deny the truth have no protector at all. 11
