And heaven -- We built it with might, and We extend it wide. 47 And the earth! We have stretched it forth beneath; an excellent Spreader are We! 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 Therefore, flee to Allah. I am a clear warner to you from Him. 50 “And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 So turn away thou from them, not thou art blameworthy. 54 yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. 55 I have not created the jinns and men but to worship Me. 56 I seek not any provision from them (i.e. provision for themselves or for My creatures) nor do I ask that they should feed Me (i.e. feed themselves or My creatures). 57 it is God who is the great Sustainer, the Mighty One, the Invincible. 58 The unjust will bear a burden like that of their unjust predecessors. Let them not make Me bring immediate punishment upon them. 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
