The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 The companions of the pit were killed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
