The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by those who draw themselves out in ranks 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars 6 (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits, 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 and are repelled. Theirs is an unceasing chastisement. 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 AND NOW ask those [who deny the truth] to enlighten thee: Were they more difficult to create than all those [untold marvels] that We have created? - for, behold, them have We created out of [mere] clay commingled with water! 11 Nay, you (O Muhammad SAW) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran). 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 and when they become aware of a [divine] message, they turn it to ridicule 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say: 'Yes, but worthless' 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
