Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
