He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned (his) back, 1 Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And he fears, 9 of him you were unmindful. 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted, purified, 14 In the hands of scribes (angels). 15 Noble and dutiful. 16 Be cursed (the disbelieving) man! How ungrateful he is! 17 Of what substance God created him? 18 Out of a sperm-drop did He create him and then determined a measure for him, 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 Then let man look at his food, 24 We poured water, pouring it in great abundance, 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 to yield therein corn, 27 together with grapes and vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 and dense-tree'd gardens, 30 and fruits, and pastures, 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 And when the Blast shall sound, 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained; 40 and covered by darkness. 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
