Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 souls are reunited with their bodies, 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 BUT NAY! I call to witness the revolving stars, 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
