The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! 1 He sendeth down the angels with the Spirit of His command unto whom He will of His bondmen, (saying): Warn mankind that there is no Allah save Me, so keep your duty unto Me. 2 He has created the heavens and the earth in accordance with [an inner] truth; sublimely exalted is He above anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 3 He created man from a sperm-drop; then at once, he is a clear adversary. 4 He created the cattle from whom you get warm clothing and (other) advantages, and some you eat. 5 In them there is beauty for you when you bring them home and when you lead them to pasture. 6 And they transport your loads to a town where you could not reach except utterly exhausted; indeed your Lord is Most Compassionate, Most Merciful. 7 He created horses, mules and donkeys for riding and for splendour. He created other things too which you do not know. 8 God's it is to show the way; and some do swerve from it. If He willed, He would have guided you all together. 9
