The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure, 1 when they measure against the people, take full measure 2 but when they measure or weigh, give less. 3 Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead 4 On a Mighty Day, 5 when mankind will stand before the Lord of the Universe? 6 Nay! Truly, the Record (writing of the deeds) of the Fujjar (disbelievers, sinners, evil-doers and wicked) is (preserved) in Sijjin. 7 And what can make you know what is sijjeen? 8 It is a written book. 9 Ah the woe that day for those who deny, 10 Those who deny the Day of Justice. 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 When you recite Our verses to him, he says, “Stories of earlier men!” 13 Nay, but their hearts are corroded by all [the evil] that they were wont to do! 14 On the Day of Judgment, they will certainly be barred from the mercy of their Lord. 15 then they shall roast in Hell. 16 They will then be told: "This is what you had denied." 17 No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun. 18 What could let you know what the 'Illiyoon is! 19 a written record, 20 Witnessed by those who are honoured. 21 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 22 On adorned couches, observing. 23 You can trace on their faces the joy of their bliss. 24 as they are given to drink of a wine sealed 25 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss - 26 It (that wine) will be mixed with Tasnim. 27 a fountain at which the chosen ones shall drink. 28 Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the believers. 29 And, when they passed them, to wink at each other, 30 And when they returned to their own folk, they returned jesting; 31 And when they saw them, they said: verily these are the strayed ones. 32 Yet they were not sent as guardians over them. 33 On the Day of Judgment, the believers will laugh at the disbelievers 34 Regarding them from their cushioned seats. 35 The infidels have indeed been rewarded for that which they had been doing. 36
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
