Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) shall not forget (it), 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
