O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied, but fear Allah that you may be successful. 130 And beware of the Fire gotten ready for the infidels. 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord; and a Garden, the extensiveness of which is (as) the heavens and the earth, it is prepared for those who guard (against evil). 133 who expend in prosperity and adversity in almsgiving, and restrain their rage, and pardon the offences of their fellowmen; and God loves the good-doers; 134 And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins - and who can forgive sins except Allah? - and [who] do not persist in what they have done while they know. 135 their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will abide forever. How excellent will be the reward of those who do good works. 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 This is an explanation for mankind, a guidance and an advice to the pious. 138 Faint not, neither sorrow; you shall be the upper ones if you are believers. 139 If a wound should touch you - there has already touched the [opposing] people a wound similar to it. And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people so that Allah may make evident those who believe and [may] take to Himself from among you martyrs - and Allah does not like the wrongdoers - 140 Allah's object also is to purge those that are true in Faith and to deprive of blessing Those that resist Faith. 141 Or, deem ye that ye shall enter the Garden while yet Allah hath not known those of you who have striven hard nor yet known the steadfast! 142 You certainly wished to die (for the cause of God) before you actually faced death. Then you faced death (in the battlefield and only a few of you had the true desire to die). 143
