Nay, by the Moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 we fed not the needy, 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 like frightened donkeys 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Aye! every one of them desireth that: he should be vouchsafed scrolls expanded. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whosoever will (let him read it), and receive admonition (from it)! 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
