Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is wrapped up [in darkness] 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 and when Heaven is laid bare; 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 one mighty and held in honour with the Lord of the Throne; 20 Obeyed and worthy there of trust. 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
