The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 Those are the heirs 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
