A (goodly) number from those of old, 39 And a crowd of the later. 40 As for the Companions of the Left 41 (they shall live) amid burning winds and boiling water, 42 And in the shades of Black Smoke: 43 Nothing (will there be) to refresh, nor to please: 44 Lo! heretofore they were effete with luxury 45 And used to persist in the awful sin. 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 Or our fathers of yore? 48 Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples 49 "All will certainly be gathered together for the meeting appointed for a Day well-known. 50 Then indeed you, the astray, the deniers 51 shall eat the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 And will fill your bellies therewith; 53 and shall drink boiling water on top of that. 54 And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels. 55 This shall be their hospitality on the Day of Doom. 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit. 58 Do you create it, or We are its creator? 59 It is We Who ordained death upon you and We are not to be frustrated. 60 from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not. 61 And assuredly ye have fully known the first production wherefore heed ye not? 62 Behold! that which ye sow. 63 Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? 64 If We so wished, We could have reduced your harvest to rubble, and you would have been left wonder-struck to exclaim: 65 (And say:) "We have fallen into debt; 66 Nay! we are deprived. 67 Have you considered the water that you drink? 68 Do you send it down from the clouds, or We send it down? 69 If We willed, surely We would make it brackish. Wherefore give ye not thanks? 70 Have you considered the fire you kindle? 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We, even We, appointed it a memorial and a comfort for the dwellers in the wilderness. 73 Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
