I swear by that which ye see. 38 And by whatsoever you see not, 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 It is not the word of a poet but only a few of you have faith, 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer -- how little you reflect! 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 if he had invented any lies about Us, 44 We would certainly have seized him by the right hand, 45 and then severed his life vein; 46 And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him. 47 The Quran is certainly a reminder for the pious ones. 48 We certainly know that some of you have rejected it 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 And most surely it is the true certainty 51 Extol, then the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 52
