Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 Indeed, did you know with certain knowledge 5 You should most certainly have seen the hell; 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
