The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no wage for it; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, and be not cheaters, 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
