Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
