۞ "Bring ye up", it shall be said, "The wrong-doers and their wives, and the things they worshipped- 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 and halt them [there]!" [And then,] behold, they shall be asked, 24 How is it that you are not helping one another? 25 In fact, on that day they will be submissive. 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 Thus we misled you. Lo! we were (ourselves) astray. 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 In fact, he had brought them the truth and had acknowledged the Messengers (who were sent before him). 37 (They will be told), "You will certainly suffer the painful torment 38 And be rewarded but only for what you had done, 39 Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 40 shall have a known provision -- 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Bliss, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 Free from headiness; nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 And besides them will be chaste women, restraining their glances, with big eyes (of wonder and beauty). 48 As if they were eggs, safely hidden. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 ‘That when we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, that we will either be rewarded or punished?’ 53 He will say: -- Do you wish to know where he is now?' 54 He looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 except our first death, and shall we not be punished' 59 Truly, this is the supreme success! 60 For the like of it should the workers work. 61 Is such [a paradise] the better welcome - or the [hellish] tree of deadly fruit? 62 Truly We have made it (as) a trail for the Zalimun (polytheists, disbelievers, wrong-doers, etc.). 63 Indeed it is a tree that sprouts from the base of hell. 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 And verily they must eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So they (too) were rushed down on their footsteps! 70 And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples, 71 And certainly We sent among them warners. 72 and behold, how was the end of them that were warned, 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
