HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Does he have any knowledge of the world beyond the ken of sense-perception, and therefore, clearly sees (the Truth)? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
