[Moses] said, "My Lord, expand for me my breast [with assurance] 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, out of my kinsfolk, one who will help me to bear my burden: 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 and remember you often. 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And We had already conferred favor upon you another time, 37 When We told your mother what We relate: 38 “That, ‘Put him into a chest and cast it into the river, so the river shall deposit it on to a shore – therefore one who is an enemy to Me and you, shall pick him up’; and I bestowed upon you love from Myself; and for you to be brought up in My sight.” 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 Go to Pharaoh, for he has waxed insolent; 43 yet speak gently to him, that haply he may be mindful, or perchance fear.' 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He said: Fear not. Lo! I am with you twain, Hearing and Seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 He it is Who spread the earth for you; and made in it paths for you, and sent down water from the sky, and then through it We brought forth many species of diverse plants. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
