Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 (Muhammad), do not be grieved (about their disbelief) nor distressed about their evil plans against you. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 Indeed Your Lord is exceedingly bountiful to mankind. Yet most of them do not give thanks. 73 Surely thy Lord knows what their hearts conceal, and what they publish. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven and the earth, but is in a Clear Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 It is a guidance and a mercy to believers. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
