The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier, which they do not overrun. 20 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
